Hi! I’m Tricia Ennis, and I write things …

A photo of a woman with short grey hair, in a black shirt, grey vest, and grey tie, looking to the right.

I am a journalist and freelance writer specializing in the intersections of current events, social issues, and popular culture. I’ve spent more than a decade working in digital and broadcast media and am fascinated by the ways in which emerging technologies and changing cultural realities shape the way we create and consume information.

Since 2022, I work as an Investigative Reporter for Connecticut Inside Investigator. Previously, I served as the Digital Content Manager for 13abc in Toledo, Ohio, and spent several years as a freelance writer and editor covering pop culture and entertainment for various publications, most notably SYFY FANGRRLS.

From 2015-2017, I worked as the Director of Production for Slooh.com, a website dedicated to bringing the wonders of space down to Earth through live-streamed events. The highlight of my time there was an opportunity to travel to Indonesia to cover the Total Solar Eclipse in 2016, as well as a Supermoon Lunar Eclipse show that was watched by more than 3.5 million people.

In my downtime, I am a proud nerd and can usually be found at a local comic shop, movie theater, or in my living room binging the same shows for the 15th time and talking to my cats like they’re people.

If you’re interested in seeing how my skills can benefit your publication or business (small or large) reach out to let me know about your project and how you feel we can work together.
